May 16, 2018 The 5.3.0.6464 version of Kontakt 5 for Mac is available as a free download on our software library. This Mac download was scanned by our antivirus and was rated as virus free. The current installer available for download requires 188.4 MB of hard disk space. The software can also be called 'Kontakt 4'. Open the KONTAKT Preferences (Mac) / Options (Windows) and switch to the Libraries tab. In the list, make sure that all Libraries that you wish to appear in the Library Browser are visible by clicking the square next to the Library name. In our example, Action Strikes is unselected and will not show up in KONTAKT's Library Browser. After checkout, download Keepforest’s Download Manager and use it to download the library files. Also, use the provided license key to activate your copy of Ferrum – Free Edition in Native Access. I have tested the installation process, and the library is indeed fully compatible with the free Kontakt Player plugin.

Compatibility with macOS Big Sur will not yet ensure compatibility with Apple Silicon processors. You can install Audio Units plug-ins from manufacturers other than Apple to process audio in Logic Pro, GarageBand, and Final Cut Pro. When installed, Audio Units plug-ins appear as individual components in the Library folders on your Mac:
- In the Finder choose Go > Go to Folder, enter '/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components' into the Go to Folder field, then click Go.
- You can also check the Library in your Home folder. In the Finder choose Go > Go to Folder, enter '~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components' into the Go to Folder field, then click Go.
